Knowing yourself

Confidence & Self-Worth

Confidence is built through reps, not born. Learners separate who they are from grades, likes and wins, and grow confidence through small, repeated acts of courage.

4 sessions · adapts to all four learner tiers (K–college)

Core tool

The Evidence File

A running list of proof: things I tried, things I did even though I was nervous, times I kept going. When the inner critic talks, learners read their evidence.

Before you start: quick self-check

Rate each line from 1 (not yet) to 5 (definitely) before session 1, then again after your Real-World Rep.

The sessions

4 sessions, three beats each.

Every session runs Hook → Rep → Reflect, so learners know what to expect each time.

  1. Session 1

I Am More Than a Score

    Hook5–10 min

Two students with the same grade: one says "I'm dumb," one says "I need a new plan"

    Rep10–30 min

Write 5 "I am…" statements that have nothing to do with grades, looks or wins

    Reflect5–10 min

Write one line on your Rep Card: what I tried, what happened, what I'll try next.

  2. Session 2

    The Inner Critic

    Hook5–10 min

Read an unkind inner voice out loud: would you say this to a friend?

    Rep10–30 min

Rewrite 3 harsh self-talk lines as a coach would say them

    Reflect5–10 min

Write one line on your Rep Card: what I tried, what happened, what I'll try next.

  3. Session 3

    Brave Reps

    Hook5–10 min

Confidence comes after action, not before

    Rep10–30 min

Pick a small brave act (ask a question, say hi, raise a hand) and do it this week

    Reflect5–10 min

Write one line on your Rep Card: what I tried, what happened, what I'll try next.

  4. Session 4

    Speak Up

    Hook5–10 min

Body language changes how you feel and how others hear you

    Rep10–30 min

Give a 30-second to 2-minute talk (by tier) on something you care about

    Reflect5–10 min

Write one line on your Rep Card: what I tried, what happened, what I'll try next.
